Woodway Motors first established as a garage in Woodway Lane by Ray Skelhon and his father.
1972
Woodway moved to existing site and diversified into vehicle recovery and gritting on behalf of the local council.
1978
Purchased first Whelen light for own recovery vehicle.
1979
Became UK distributor of Whelen equipment, supplying police, fire and ambulance services.
1980
First mast system.
1995
Sole licensed manufacturer of Whelen products.
1999
ISO 9001 registration.
2000
First LED liberty lightbar introduced by Whelen.
2001
40th Anniversary.
2014
Sepura distributor agreement for accessories.
2016
Latest factory facilities.

Trakm8 distribution contract signed for exclusivity in the emergency services.
